Newly of Traverse City, Nima enjoys sharing healthy and creative self expression techniques and practices with the world. Practices which have aided her in own healing, empowerment, and overall personal/creative growth. Nima’s intention in sharing her creations and experience is to create a safe space for others to learn and grow for the betterment of the collective.

Nima has been blissfully live painting in Michigan and Indiana for the past 5+ years and has recently become a resident of Traverse City. It has always been an honor for Nima to collaborate and co-create with the Michigan art community; Particularly in the music festival scene. Flowing with other artists and connecting through music and togetherness really has been a beautiful experience full of abundant love, learning, and laughter.

Nima Esme (birth-named Ashley Hatfield) was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana with her mother, older sister and beloved adoptive Father, Greg Hatfield. Her “Dad” taught her from a very young age how to draw by using his grandfather’s (Edward Basker-Notre Dame Art Director) sketchbooks. This tradition and time of learning together planted a seed that has continued to grow and flourish throughout her life journey.

Her family story is not as simple as it appeared on the surface, much like many.

A decade after the death of her “father” Greg, her mother admitted the truth that she was in fact not Greg’s daughter and she was kept from her Afghan paternal family and heritage for 28 years.

Ever since this awakening, Nima has been on a vividly brilliant life journey - searching for her paternal family members and searching for answers about her ancestral history.

This cultivated new abilities, vision and inspiration. Along this path she expresses and shares her visionary experiences and self discovery on canvas unlike ever before. Through this journey she has discovered renewed purpose, sense of self and belonging, as well as meaning for her art and practices. The “why” has arrived.

Accessing these childhood suppressions, conditionings, and traumas has not only aided Nima personally; in a very real and logical sense… but it also spiritually. This NEW LIFE unleashed a flood gate of inspirations, visions, and unexplainable life happenings.

Since diving deep into her self ascension/discovery and into the Ethereal, Nima has felt called to sharing in a way that can inspire, enlighten, and create peace for those who experience her Art and Readings.

Through a number of practices, disciplines and creative adventures - Nima has found the confidence and empowerment within herself to come out to play and share all that she can with the world. Whether it is sharing through Art, Tarot, Dance, or Life Experiences - the purpose remains the same: To enrich and to enlighten as many lives around her as she can.

And for the sake of Love, Enrichment, and for the sake the Collective’s Future….. lets all express and share as one.
